Hello Ashley
Thank you so much for reaching out, I am Udit an independent advisor, and I am glad to assist you today with this.
What you will need to do this;-
- A laptop with two video output ports, these could be HDMI, USB-C, DisplayPort, etc.
- Two compatible display cables (for example, HDMI or USB-C to HDMI).
- If your laptop doesn’t have two video outputs, a USB-to-HDMI adapter or a docking station can help.
Example setup:
Connect Monitor 1 via HDMI (or another available port).
Connect Monitor 2 via USB-C to HDMI (or any second port).
- Plug in both monitors to your laptop.
- Right-click on your desktop and choose Display settings
- You’ll see all three screens, your laptop and both monitors, labeled 1, 2, and 3.
- Click Identify to know which is which.
- Select the display that you want to mirror your laptop and choose Duplicate desktop on 1 and 2.
- Then select the second monitor and choose Extend desktop to this display.
That’s it! You’ll now have your laptop mirrored to one monitor and your second monitor giving you more screen real estate to work with.
Feel free to contact again if you need further assistance.
Regards
Udit
