I've asked Co-Pilot to help me create a document.
It creates one in both word and .pdf format.

But when i open the links they are dead.

Does anyone know how to open sandbox links?
Thanks!

This shortcoming makes the features less than desirable to the point I will just choose a different tool next time. Absolutely unacceptable.

I'll try to explain this as easy as possible.

Copilot is currently designed to operate entirely within the scope of the current conversation. It cannot interact with external systems or deliver content through standalone download links. This is why links—such as those for generated Word or PDF documents—often don’t function like normal file downloads.

I understand this limitation can be frustrating. Many users—including those active across various Microsoft forums—have raised this same issue. Unfortunately, the responses provided by Microsoft agents have sometimes been incomplete or even misleading, leading to confusion about how (or whether) these links are supposed to work.

If your organization wants to work around this, it is possible to configure Copilot within a dedicated enterprise environment where it can save files directly to internal systems like SharePoint or OneDrive. This allows for proper download functionality and secure sharing, all within your company's IT boundaries.

If that sounds like something you’d want to explore, I recommend reaching out to your IT team or Microsoft account representative for more concrete guidance on deployment and setup.

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to the community forum.

As I can understand you're experiencing issues with the Copilot Sandbox links. To troubleshoot this issue, please try the following steps:

    1. Ensure that you are logged in with the correct Microsoft account that has access to Copilot.
    2. Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try accessing the link again.
    3. Try accessing the link using a different browser or device.

I hope this information helps resolve the issue you're facing with the Copilot Sandbox links.

We appreciate your understanding and patience.

    Best Regards.

I am unable to find this option anywhere in Copilot settings. Can you please point me in the right direction?

    Thanks.
