Dynamic Lighting setting does not work on Windows 11

Why does my USB LED keyboard go dark when my PC locks? Windows 10 never had this issue with the exact same PC hardware.

If I disable Dynamic Lighting, the LEDs turn off entirely. If I leave Dynamic Lighting on, the keyboard goes dark when my PC locks. My keyboard LEDs were helpful when unlocking my PC, but they have been rendered useless by Windows 11.

How can I set it so my keyboard stays lit the entire time my PC is on (including when it's locked)?

This is what I could find on Perplexity.ai. It seems to be a Microsoft problem, not a you problem.

Lock Screen Lighting Conflicts

The core issue stems from how Dynamic Lighting handles lock screen states. According to manufacturer documentation, many keyboards experience lighting changes or complete shutoff when the system locks, particularly when Dynamic Lighting is managing the device35. This is because Dynamic Lighting doesn't maintain consistent settings across different system states like active desktop versus lock screen5.

    Those options don't even exist:

How is it that Microsoft agents don't even know their own OS? No wonder Windows 11 is so horrendous. What a friggin joke.

    My settings are as follows:

The problem isn't that the PC goes to sleep. The problem is that the keyboard LEDs shutoff as soon as the PC locks.

    Any other suggestions?

And by the way, Windows 11 is complete garbage. I absolutely hate every aspect of it.

To keep your USB LED keyboard lit even when your PC is locked on Windows 11, you can try the following steps:

    1. Go to Settings by pressing Windows key + I.
    2. Click on System.
    3. Select Power & sleep from the left sidebar.
    4. Under the Sleep section, adjust the timing for "When plugged in, PC goes to sleep after" to Never.
    5. Additionally, you can go to Lock screen & personalization settings and ensure that the "Turn off screen after" setting is also set to Never.

By adjusting these settings, your PC should stay awake and keep your USB LED keyboard lit even when it's locked.

Let me know how it goes,

    Best Regards,
