Currently, update KB5063060 keeps failing.

Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x80070003)

How come?

Since you see the message The update is not applicable, it means the update may not match your current Windows version or system.

    Steps to fix this.

    Check your Windows version.

Press Win + R, type winver, and press Enter.

Note the version and build number.

Make sure your system is fully updated.

Try running Windows Update again or download the latest updates for your version.

Verify if the update is already installed.

    Open Command Prompt and run.

    wmic qfe list brief /format:table

Look for the KB number to see if it’s already installed.

    Download the correct update.

Ensure you are downloading the right update for your Windows version and system type 64-bit or 32-bit.

    Kindest Regards,

    Richard R.

KB5063060 is bugged and this is well known by now. Bit weird that the "advisors" are not aware of that by now.

All over the net there are many, many mentions like yours with installing. Lots of mentions of it: https://www.google.com/search?q=kb5063060+bug

    Hi Richard,

My Windows does not have "Update and Security", but I did find the troubleshooter and ran it. It did not work.

    When I try to install

    windows11.0-kb5043080-x64_953449672073f8fb99badb4cc6d5d7849b9c83e8.msu

manually on my computer I get this message:

"The update is not applicable to your computer. For more information, check the documentation for this update to find out if you need to install another update first."

Hi! I'm Richard, an Independent Advisor. I'm here and ready to help you today!

The error usually means some update files are missing or can't be found. This can happen if the download was broken or if there are problems with your system. Here are simple steps to fix it.

    Run Windows Update Troubleshooter.

Go to Settings,Update and Security,Troubleshoot,Additional troubleshooters. Find Windows Update and run it.

    Restart your computer.

Sometimes,a simple restart can fix the problem.

    Clear the update cache.

    Open Command Prompt as admin.

    Type.

    net stop wuauserv

    net stop bits

Go to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download and delete all files inside.

    Then type.

    net start wuauserv

    net start bits

    Check system files.

Open Command Prompt as admin and type. sfc /scannow and press Enter. Wait for it to finish.

    Free up space.

Make sure you have enough free space on your drive.

    Try installing the update manually.

Go to the Microsoft Update Catalog, find KB5063060, download it, and install.

    Kindest Regards,

    Richard R.
