How to delete what's not important? My c drive is almost full and I can't seem to find what to uninstall or delete.

I’m running into an issue with my C drive. Out of 149 GB, only 8.85 GB is left. I’ve already tried clearing cache files, removing temp files, and uninstalling unwanted apps. I don’t have any junk files either, just some programs and personal projects I’ve worked on, which shouldn’t be taking up this much space. I also checked the storage breakdown by clicking on "Details" under the C drive properties, and I figured out where the space is taken up. But i still can't decide on what to remove because , for example, apps are taking up a lot of space but the point to be noted is I only have the default apps and maybe one or two more for programming. My D drive has 326 GB, but only about 10 GB is used there. Could you help me with what to do next?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, good day! I'm John Dev a Windows user like you and I'll be happy to assist you today. I know this has been difficult for you, rest assured, I'm going to do my best to help you.

Please check the support article below on How to Free up drive space in Windows

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fre...

If this doesn't work, please try downloading and installing this free tool called TreeSize to identify apps or files that are taking up more of your storage space.

    https://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free

Once installed, open the app, wait for the scan to complete then expand the folders

Please check and identify apps or files that are taking up more of your storage space., Select and right click the file you don't need. Click "Delete" to free up space.

Kindly let me know if this helps or if you have any further concerns by clicking the "Reply" button at the end of my response. I will appreciate it.

    Kind regards,

    John DeV

    Hey,

    Thank you for the reply.
I installed TreeSize and have identified what takes up space. But I'm still unsure on what to keep and more specifically what to delete. I'm worried that if I delete something by mistake , it would affect the system performance.

I'll include screenshots with this reply, could you perhaps help me figure out what to do ? Please let me know if you want any other additional screenshots?

I'm sorry if im being dumb here.

Sorry for the inconvenience and Thank you.
