As stated in the Title, the Devices are able to find my PC and connect for a split second but then disconnect and can't even connect again without having to add them as new devices again. The Problem must be with the Windows Defender Firewall since when i deactivate it then it works perfectly fine, i just can't find anywhere which rule i have to modify or add to make it work with the Firewall activated.

Hi Robin,

Thank you for your response, this is great news. It means that the windows recognized the device. Let's try to clean and reinstall the driver.

Please download the official driver from the ASUS website, once the download is done. Unplug the USB dongle and go to Device Manager > Bluetooth, look for the ASUS USB-BT500 > Uninstall Device and click on the Delete the driver software for this device, please do the same in Network Adapters, if it's in there.

Once everything is done, restart you computer and install the ASUS BT500 driver. And try to plug in the device.

Please let me know hot it goes.

Best Regards.

Jhun

    Hi Robin,

I hope you are doing well!. I'm Jhun, an independent advisor. Let me assist you with this. Let's try to use this steps to fix the issue.

First, we need to re-enable Bluetooth services through the firewall, please go to Windows Security > Firewall & Network Protection and Click on Allow an app through firewall.

Next, in the top right, click on the Change Settings, scroll through the list and make sure the following are both checked for Private and Public, "Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI)" & "Bluetooth User Support Service".

If they're not on the list, Click Allow another app and browse to "C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe". Name it like Bluetooth Host and check on both Private and Public, and add it.

Please let me know if it works, if not we can try a different method.

    Best Regards,

    Jhun

    Hello,

Thank you for posting this issue in community moderator.

Your Bluetooth devices disconnect because Windows Defender Firewall may be blocking necessary services. Try these steps:

    1. Allow Bluetooth Rules: Go to Windows Defender Firewall > Advanced Settings, check Inbound & Outbound Rules, and allow Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI).
    2. Reset Bluetooth Adapter: Open Device Manager, uninstall your Bluetooth driver, then restart your PC.
    3. Manually Add Exception: In Windows Defender Firewall, allow fsquirt.exe (Windows Bluetooth transfer utility).
    4. After these changes, reconnect your Bluetooth devices.
