SFC/Scannow will NOT help you because CopyFile2 is not available in the Windows 7 version of kernel32.dll

Read here for an explanation and solution: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-discussions/entry-point-copyfile2-not-located-in-kernel32-dll/td-p/15307039 (read all the way to the bottom to see the complete text of the answer marked as the solution),

    Hi!

Thank you for posting your query to community forum!

As I understand, on your Windows 7 you get an error message regarding an Adobe Collab file, please note that Microsoft ended support for Windows 7 on January 14, 2020. This means that Windows 7 no longer receives security updates, bug fixes, or technical assistance from Microsoft. If you're still using Windows 7, it's highly recommended to upgrade to a newer version like Windows 10 or Windows 11 to ensure better security and compatibility with modern applications

However, you may try repair system file with the help of System File Checker (SFC): Open Command Prompt as Administrator. Type: sfc /scannow

Press Enter and let Windows scan and repair system files. Restart your computer once the process is complete.

I hope this resolves your issue but if you need further assistance feel free to reply.

    Best regards,

    Hi Scott_LA,

I am also having this problem and just so you know, I'm 80 years old and don't feel like spending a bunch of money buying new computers and software. I am keeping my Windows 7 running because I need it and Adobe updated itself causing this problem. On the Adobe site it says that this version works on Windows 7. Liar, Liar, pants on fire!!! I may just delete Adobe and go with another PDF program that does work with 7 the same way I switched to Linux which will run on my old computer & dual boot so I feel safer on the internet. As far as I'm concerned Microsoft can shove it. OLD PEOPLE RULE!!

    Thanks for your reply.

When I X out or OK then the message disappears and there seems to be no further problem - it's just on start up.

Yes I am aware that Windows 7 is "old hat" but this is a business pc and we are in the process of winding down in readiness for retirement so we are reluctant to spend money unnecessarily in hope that we can keep the pc going until it is no longer required.
