I tried to update my windows and it gave me that there is a hardware incompatibility which it pointed out being my Western Digital NVME SSD.

How to fix or bypass this as I can't think of a way why my SSD is not compatible.

Here is the full error message it gives:

x Western Digital NVMe Disk

Your PC has hardware that isn't ready for this version of Windows. Windows Update will automatically offer you this version of Windows once the issues have been resolved.

My Western Digital SSD is WD_BLACK SN770 2TB with only around 800GB used as of now.

Thank you for your help

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community and I'll be glad to assist you today.

There is a 24H2 compatibility hold for some Western Digital (WD) SSDs. This means those SSDs may not be able to update to Windows 11 version 24H2 yet.

Please check your PC manufacturer’s website or the WD website to see if there is a firmware update for your SSD.

Important: Before updating the firmware, make sure to back up all important files.

You can use the Western Digital Dashboard to check for firmware updates:

I have a similar problem with the same drive model. I updated the firmware and still no luck. Is there anything else I can try?
