At the moment I'm installing the free game on the Microsoft Store "Phantom Dust" and that has so far been installing without issues, when it comes to Game Pass games however like "Forza Horizon 5" or "Forza Motorsport" I seem to run into this issue constantly.
0x800704C6 error. AGAIN
So I have literally been unable to install games or even updates thanks to Error 0x800704C6 and I have tried literally every fix and I mean EVERY FIX.
Gaming Repair Tool, Xbox Installer, Get-AppxPackage gamingservices -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers AND get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers AND netsh winsock reset, resetting network settings, reinstalling Microsoft Store and Xbox apps. Signing in and Signing out and EVERYTHING LISTED HERE https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-store-not-downloading-xbox-app-code/baa46d80-9ffc-4e5f-a640-ac0367b4b9f7
Yet nothing seems to work and Micro$oft themselves don't even acknowledge the issue let alone any "community advisors" here who just close the topics and repeat the same garbage to earn "points" from the multi-billion dollar corporation!!
And they wonder why people are sick of using Windows and are moving onto software that actually functions properly like SteamOS, Linux and MacOS because while the gaming ecosystem isn't as mature, things just work there and have actually helpful people in-case something DOESN'T work unlike you lot.
What on earth could potentially be the issue with this garbage software and why is it literally stealing your money and data to provide a faulty clearly unfit for use service?

2025-07-02T11:49:19+00:00 Hi ,
Access the Microsoft Store and check if you can install something through the Microsoft Store or if you get the same error?
Are you trying to install games that you own or through Xbox GamePass?

2025-07-02T11:43:29+00:00 The windows version I have installed is 22H2 Version 2009. As stated before literally nothing works and if it does download after all those aforementioned fixes it will always eventually throw the error no matter what.
