Hello David! Thank you so much for reaching out, I am Harvie an Independent Advisor, and I am glad to assist you today with this issue.
Thanks for explaining your situation. Since you're using a touchscreen laptop with a mouse, there could be a minor input conflict or setting issue. Let’s fix this mouse not clicking issue by following these troubleshooting steps:
- Check If the Mouse Works Outside Roblox
- Open something like Notepad or a web browser and try clicking around with your mouse. If it clicks fine elsewhere we know it is only Roblox that is affected.
- Force Roblox to use Mouse Input tot touch
- While in Roblox press Esc to open the menu and go to Settings make sure Camera Mode is set to Classic, shift lock switch is Off and full screen Mode is On.
- Exit full screen and reenter it then try clicking again in game.
- Temporarily disable touchscreen to force Mouse input
- This helps Roblox ignore touch input so mouse takes full control. Press Win + X and select Device Manager go find Human Interface Devices and right click HID compliant touch screen and choose Disable device.
- Confirm and close the window then relaunch Roblox and test your mouse click.
- Test in Other Roblox Games
- Try loading into another game. If your mouse clicks work there then it is likely a game specific scripting issue in Grow a Garden not your device.
- Clear Roblox Cache
- Press Win + R and type %localappdata%\Roblox then press Enter.
- Delete the Versions folder and Roblox will rebuild it when you relaunch.
- Restart your laptop and try Roblox again.
- Reinstall Roblox
- If none of the above worked a clean reinstall might clear it up. Then download the latest version from: https://www.roblox.com/download. Reconnect your mouse and test the game again
Please try these steps and let me know how it goes. If you run into any issues just reply back with the details.
Best regards,
Harry
