A new Windows 11 update forced Dolby Vision on, which turned the screen completely green. It was fixed by pressing Win + Alt + B (Windows HDR toggle shortcut)

šŸ› ļø Temporary Fix (for Forced Dolby Vision Toggle On):

If Dolby Vision is stuck on or can't be disabled in Windows 11 (especially after Insider updates), use this quick workaround to regain control and re-enable HDR10 instead:

šŸ”§ Steps:

  1. Change resolution to 4096Ɨ2160.Ā Now DV will work but aspect ratio is off.
  2. Enable HDR in Display Settings.
    • Go toĀ Settings → System → Display → HDR
    • TurnĀ ā€œUse HDRā€Ā toĀ On
    • Now you should be able toĀ disable Dolby Vision manually
  3. Switch back to 3840Ɨ2160 @ 120Hz.Ā You’ll now be running inĀ HDR10Ā mode

*Updates

1. Dolby Vision Extension Package Installation
To enable Dolby Vision (DV) support, install the DV extension package from the Microsoft Store:
