How can i use my tablet (samsung s9fe+) as a monitor for my laptop in a wired manner?

So, i have a samsung tablet, which has a 90hz refresh screen rate, and i want to use it as my monitor for my hp laptop. I know i can use the second screen system from the samsung to do it, but it doesnt connect as smoothly. (the framerate is terrible)

so i bought an hdmi to usb type c cable, that can transfer up to 60hz+1920x1080p resolution, hoping that i can use it, but it seems like there are no setting or apps that can use this hdmi to type c cable to use my tablet as a monitor?

TLDR:

  1. want to connect my tablet as a monitor for my pc
  2. wired connection with the second screen setting from samsung has a low framerate
  3. tried using usb too with apps like spacedesk, but still a low framerate
  4. bought a hdmi to type c cable that supports 1920x1080p and 60hz refresh rate, but dont know if i can use it

Hi, my name is Julian. Since this is a public forum made up mostly of fellow gamers and users like you and me, all we can offer are guidance and suggestions. I'm sorry you're experiencing this issue.

Unfortunately, using your Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ as a wired external monitor via an HDMI to USB-C cable won’t work. This is because most tablets, including Samsung’s, don’t support video input over USB-C, they only support video output (like DeX mode). The cable you bought is likely for sending video from a device, not receiving it.

Alternatively, you can do the following:

    1. Wired mirroring with low latency. You can use Duet Display https://www.duetdisplay.com/

Since there's no native wired video input support on your tablet, software-based USB solutions remain your best bet for a smoother experience.

Let me know if you need further assistance.
