Is 0x80073CF9 A Permanent Issue?

Ever since a Windows Update back in November 2024, I've not been able to update ANY apps in the Windows Store I have tried all of these steps with no success:

1.
Solution mentioned here. Go to Windows Settings Win+I -> Apps -> Apps & Features. Search for Microsoft Windows App Runtime Singleton by typing singleton. Click on Advanced options then Terminaterepair then reset if repair failed. Next, open this link , click on View in store then try to update this app from there clicking retry or else. If it works, try to update your apps in the MS Store. If it still fails, try next method.

2.
Solution posted here
Download the latest WinAppSDK ( https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/windows-app-sdk/downloads ) (Don't install it yet)

Close all apps, and restart PC.
Install the previously downloaded WinAppSDKOpen Microsoft Store App  and hit RETRY for each app that was 'stuck' one-by-one ... they should all now install correctly without errors.

3.
As mentioned here, this method was successful for one user.

Open a PowerShell console as admin. Don’t use the Terminal app but the built-in PowerShell console. Run these commands one by one:

dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup
sfc /scannow

Reboot PC Right click on the MS Store startup icon>more>settings and apply repair AND reset. If it succeeds or not, reboot PC again. Test if MS Store is fixed by running the updates.

4.
Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter

Try to run the Windows update troubleshooter, it will detect and resolve the most common issues with the Windows updates. To do so, follow the link below. You may also follow some other common solutions on the same articles.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/windows-update-troubleshooter

5.
Rename the Windows Update components folder.

a) From Start screen, type **cmd. From the results, right-click on Command Prompt and choose Run as an Administrator.
b) Type "net stop wuauserv" and press Enter.
c) Type "rename c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution softwaredistribution.old" and press
enter.**d) Type "net start wuauserv"and press enter.

6.
Of course, I have attempted to also do the Win + R to enter the wsreset.exe command AND resetting the windows store manually from the Apps & Features section of the settings completely uninstalls Windows Store and then gives me the same 0x80073CF9 error code when I try to use PowerShell to reinstall it

7.
Ensuring Windows is up to date

After attempting all of these methods including some probably not listed, I decided to factory reset my PC and STILL this issue is persisting I have no clue what to fix it, but I think after FOUR MONTHS the "Something went wrong. We're aware of the issue and working to fix it. Try refreshing or come back later." Would've been fixed by now but after several updates I'm sure something is corrupted on my side and I have no experience in fixing a problem like this, any help would be much appreciated thank you.

Still having this issue unfortunately Microsoft even can't even solve this problem... still get my temp folder filled up with event logs EVERYTIME i launch windows which is so stupid is there a way to just permanently delete Windows Store with Powershell or something? The program is doing more harm than good at this point

    Likely to be this

Win11 by default only installs critical security updates, unless you made the mistake of selecting “Get latest updates” which includes drivers.

See your laptop/PC makers support to update both bios and ALL drivers.

There should be a shortcut to that makers update utility on your system.

Then set Bios to defaults & Pwr to balanced. At the end of the day shutdown, do not leave in sleep.

Do NOT update from any other source inc Device Manager

You only need to set the Advanced options for notify & Time, then leave win update to do its own thing.

If a self-build drivers/bios update via the mobo makers support site + any vid card site
