Hello again
The message was gone until I checked today. Is showing on my Windows devices, not in the Microsoft account web page.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Hello there!
It has been a couple of months that I have been receiving these messages in Windows 11 and even though I enter the phone number it keeps showing. When I enter my phone number it says either "Something went wrong" or "This is already part of your security info". I also tried by removing the phone number and adding it again, but the message keeps coming back. The message also appears in the Microsoft Account web page.

Hi, Thanks for the update. I'm glad to hear that the message is no longer there.
If you couldn't find the "Sync your settings" option, that's okay. Things may look different in different versions of Windows 11 depending on updates or the type of device you're using. The most important thing is that the main problem seems to be solved.
Over the next few days, please do keep an eye on it. If the message shows up again or if you run into any other problems, please let me know. I'll be happy to help you more.
I hope everything goes well from now on.
Many thanks,
Pau
Hi, Thank you for your fast response and for providing that useful screenshot.
You are currently looking at your Microsoft account in the "Your info" section, but this area does not display all the security settings we require. Here are the steps to access the right security page and get rid of the ongoing “Never lose access to your account” message.
Step 1: Navigate to the appropriate security settings page.
Check out this link directly: https://account.live.com/proofs/manage
This page will direct you to your Security Info section, which is also known as "Manage how you sign in to Microsoft."
When you arrive:
Find your phone number in the Security Info section.
Press Remove next to it.
Allow a minimum of 5 minutes after taking it off.
Press Select an additional method for signing in or verification, then pick Phone number.
Input your number and finish verification using the code.
Step 2: Sign Out and Sign Back In on Windows 11
Navigate to Settings, then select Accounts, and choose Your Info.
Log out of your Microsoft account and then sign back in.
Once you sign in again, restart your device.
Step 3: Clear Sync Cache
Navigate to Settings, then select Accounts, and choose Sync your settings.
Disable Sync settings.
Wait for approximately 10 seconds, then switch it back ON.
Restart your computer once more.
Step 4: Give Time for Changes to Sync
Go to https://account.microsoft.com after finishing the steps above.
The message will go away in 24 to 48 hours.
Optional: Use a Different Device or Browser
If something still isn't functioning:
Attempt to finish the process using a different browser (such as Edge, Chrome, or Firefox) or a mobile device.
Turn off any browser extensions that could cause issues.
Kindly update me on the progress. If the message continues to show up after 48 hours or you encounter another issue, I’m here to assist you further.
Hope your fix goes smoothly.
Best regards,
Pau
