I bought the game on pc, and play it on the switch. The new launcher refuses to let me open it without a gamepass subscription, which i reluctantly paid, and it still wont let me open it. Giving me an error code for the game no longer being available or no longer having an active subscription ( which i have )

Hello Nathan! Thank you so much for reaching out. I am Tin, an independent advisor, and I am glad to assist you today with this issue. I understand your frustration with playing Minecraft across different platforms and the issues you're encountering with the new launcher and subscription. Here are some steps to resolve the issue.

    1. Confirm Your Subscription Status

Log in to your Microsoft account at account.microsoft.com

Check your memberships and subscriptions to ensure your Xbox Game Pass is active and linked correctly.

Verify that your Minecraft subscription or Game Pass includes access to the version you're trying to play.

    1. Ensure You're Using the Correct Microsoft Account

Sometimes, players have multiple accounts. Make sure you're signed in with the same Microsoft account on both the PC launcher and the Switch.

On the PC, open the Xbox app or Microsoft Store, check your account details, and verify your subscription.

    1. Sign Out and Sign Back In

Sign out of the Minecraft launcher on your PC.

    Restart your PC.

Sign back in with the same account that has the active Game Pass subscription.

    1. Check for Updates

Make sure your Minecraft launcher and Xbox app are fully updated.

Sometimes updates fix compatibility issues related to subscriptions.

    1. Reinstall the Launcher

    Uninstall the current Minecraft launcher.

Download the latest version from the official Minecraft website.

Install and log in with your Microsoft account.

    1. Verify Game Availability

The error mentioning the game no longer being available could mean the game version you're trying to access is deprecated or not linked properly.

Visit the official Minecraft support page or Xbox support for any notices regarding service outages or account issues.

    1. Cross-Platform Compatibility

    Remember, Minecraft has different editions:

    Java Edition (PC)

Bedrock Edition (Windows 10, Switch, mobile)

Confirm you're using the Bedrock Edition, which supports cross-platform play and subscriptions like Game Pass.

    1. Contact Support

If the issue persists, contact Microsoft Support or Minecraft Support directly:

Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Best Regards,

    Tin R.
