Hello Ace,
Still got the same problem.
I have also tried to create a new power plan and start from scratch but I am still facing the same problem with the "Balanced" and the one I have created.
Thanks
Sam
Hello Sam, thanks for getting back, can you try this following steps Sam?
Open Control Panel > Power Options.
Click Choose what the power buttons do.
Select Change settings that are currently unavailable.
Uncheck Turn on fast startup and save changes.
Hello Sam, thanks for reaching out. I'm Ace, one of the Independent Advisors. I can understand your concern and please don't worry I am here to help you.
Your Samsung laptop locking after just 1 minute, despite setting the timeout to 30 minutes, is likely caused by screen saver settings, Dynamic Lock, or a hidden system policy. Some users have reported similar issues where Windows 11 overrides power settings due to an active screen saver or security feature. One common fix is to disable the screen saver lock. Open Settings > Personalization > Lock Screen, then click Screen Saver Settings. If the option "On resume, display logon screen" is checked, uncheck it and apply the changes. This setting can force Windows to lock the screen even when power settings suggest otherwise. Another possible cause is Dynamic Lock, which automatically locks your laptop when your paired phone moves out of range. To disable this, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in Options, scroll down to Dynamic Lock, and uncheck the option that allows Windows to lock your device when you're away.
Let me know if this method works Sam.
Thanks!
