iGPU not showing up in device manager

I've been wanting to use my iGPU for a second monitor, since my current dedicated GPU only has display ports, apart from the single HDMI output I'm already using. I've looked in the BIOS for my motherboard, and I failed to find graphics settings.

For context, allow me to give you the specs of my PC that seem relevant.

-Intel Core i7 7700K

-ASUS ROG MAXIMUS IX CODE

-NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

As previously mentioned, I failed to find graphics settings in the BIOS, where the iGPU setting would be. When I attempted to install graphics drivers on my iGPU to fix this issue, it gave me an error code.

The error message was as follows;

Graphics Driver Installer v1.0.1013.0

Something went wrong.

No driver was found that can be installed on the current device. Installer exit code: 8

I have the error log for this, but I'm only going to provide the last four lines. let me know if you require more for it to be helpful.

The error log reads;

    I hear you—this is frustrating, especially when you're trying to set up a second monitor and your iGPU just refuses to show up. But don’t worry, we’ll work through this together.

    Your Intel Core i7-7700K has an integrated Intel HD Graphics 630, which should be available unless:

    1. BIOS settings have disabled it.
    2. Drivers aren’t installed or are incompatible.
    3. Conflicts with the dedicated GPU are preventing detection.

    Here’s what I recommend trying:

    1. Check BIOS Again Even though you didn’t find graphics settings, some ASUS motherboards hide them under different names. Try:
    • Booting into BIOS (Del or F2 during startup).
    • Looking under Advanced Mode > System Agent Configuration > Graphics Configuration.
    • Enabling iGPU Multi-Monitor or Internal Graphics.
    1. Check Device Manager for Hidden Devices Sometimes, Windows hides unused hardware:
    • Open Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).
    • Click View > Show hidden devices.
    • Look under Display Adapters for Intel HD Graphics.
    1. Manually Install Intel Graphics Drivers Since your error log says "No supported devices by the driver", it’s possible the installer isn’t detecting your iGPU. Try:
    • Downloading the latest Intel HD Graphics 630 driver from Intel’s official site.
    • Installing it manually via Device Manager:
      • Right-click Display Adapters > Update driver.
      • Select Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list.
      • Choose Intel HD Graphics 630 (if available).
    1. Check Windows Graphics Settings Windows may be prioritizing your dedicated GPU:
    • Go to Settings > System > Display > Graphics settings.
    • Look for Intel HD Graphics and ensure it’s enabled.
    1. Try a CMOS Reset If BIOS settings aren’t showing the iGPU, resetting CMOS might help:
    • Power off your PC.
    • Remove the CMOS battery for a few minutes.
    • Reinsert it and boot into BIOS.
    1. Test with HDMI Directly from Motherboard If your motherboard has an HDMI port, try plugging your monitor into it. If it works, the iGPU is active but not recognized in Windows.
