Built in Camera is not detected by camera app

I've tried everything, from deleting it and reinstalling it on Device Manager to updating and restarting. I've switched on and off the shutter so that's not the issue. But, still it shows up with a error code of 0xA00F4244

Thank you. I've tried the first method but no difference but one thing I've recognised is that for part two my camera isn't listed under Imaging devices/Sound on the Device Manager so I can't do it. That might be the problem.

    Hello,

If your camera app does not detect the built-in camera, there could be several reasons:

    • The camera may have a physical defect. If none of the troubleshooting steps work, there may be a hardware issue that requires technical support or repair.
    • Some laptops have a physical shutter or notch that can manually block the camera. Check to ensure the camera is not closed with such a feature.
    • Windows may have restrictions on camera access. Follow these steps to verify if applications have permission to use the camera:
      • SettingsPrivacy & SecurityCamera
      • Ensure the “Let apps access your camera” option is turned on.

If the issue persists after these checks, you might try using a different camera application or researching additional driver updates.

    Best regards,

    Ali G
