This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I know this quesioned has been asked before but none of the solutions are working for me.
My "Windows Hello" is already disabled (both in Chrome and my computer), tried to turn it on to then turn it off again but says my organization "does not allow for that"; but my computer is a personal one. I never received it from a business or organisation, I am the admin.
Next thing I tried was to remove the school emails that I was logged into, but still no luck. I find it bother some to use a PIN and would prefer a password. Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

Hi there, Gizelle! This is Marc. Thank you for reaching out to the community.
Thanks for providing those details. Based on what you've described, here are a few approaches we can try.
Disclaimer: Editing the registry can be risky. Please consider creating a system restore point or backing up the registry before proceeding.
Press the Windows Key + R, type regedit, and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
In the address bar at the top of the Registry Editor, copy and paste the following path and press Enter:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\PassportForWork
In the right-hand pane, look for a value named Enabled.
Right-click on the Enabled value and select Delete. Confirm the deletion.
Look for another value named DisablePostLogonProvisioning. If it exists, right-click on it and Delete it as well.
Restart your computer. This is essential for the changes to take effect.
After your computer restarts, the "organization" policy should be gone. Go back to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options, and you should now have the ability to click on "PIN (Windows Hello)" and see the "Remove" button. Once the PIN is removed, you can use your account password to log in, and Chrome should no longer prompt for the PIN to autofill passwords.
Let me know how it goes!
Best regards,
