    Hi, Great question! I am here to help. In Windows 11, Microsoft centered the Start menu and taskbar icons by default and you can move them back to the left, similar to how they were in Windows 10. Here's how:

    Right-click on the Taskbar, Select Taskbar settings
    Scroll down and click Taskbar behaviors
    Under Taskbar alignment, change:
    Center to Left

    This will shift the Start button, power button (in the Start menu), and all taskbar icons back to the left corner of your screen similar to Windows 10.

    Note: The power button itself is still located within the Start menu in Windows 11 and it can’t be placed directly on the taskbar like older versions without third-party apps.

    Hope this helps. Please let me know if you still have questions or if you need help with anything else. I will be happy to help you further.

    Hi again,

    I totally understand where you are coming from. Submitting feedback to Microsoft is a great way to make your voice heard. Many Windows features (like the taskbar alignment toggle) were added back because users spoke up.

    Here’s how you can submit Feedback to Microsoft

    Press Windows + F

    This opens the Feedback Hub app

    In the “Summarize your feedback” box, type something like

    "Make Power options easier to access again, like in Windows 10, fewer clicks!"

    In the category, choose:

    "Desktop environment" > "Start menu and taskbar"

    Click Next, choose “Suggestion”

    So it’s seen as a feature request

    Optionally, check “Attach a screenshot” or add more details.

    Submit.

    I would also love to share some tips that you can do to perform shutdown directly.

    Option 1. Additional tip to turn off or shutdown your PC directly.

    You can create a custom shutdown (or restart, sleep, etc.) shortcut and pin it to your taskbar.

    Right-click on the desktop > New > Shortcut

    For location, type:

    shutdown /s /t 0

    Click Next, name it something like “Shut Down”.

    Right-click the new shortcut > Properties > Change Icon > choose a power icon.

    Drag it to your taskbar or right-click > Pin to taskbar.

    Option 2. Use Alt + F4 on Desktop

    When you're on the desktop with no windows selected, press Alt + F4, it instantly brings up the Shut Down dialog box (just like the old days).

    Option 3. Use the Power User Menu

    Right-click the Start button or press Win + X, then press U, then one of the following

    U again = Shut down

    R = Restart

    S = Sleep

    Fast keyboard shortcuts once you get the hang of it.

    I will be here if you still have questions. Happy to help.
