Drive not displaying in Windows 11 setup, after using Linux Mint

Aproximately a month ago, I switched my laptop over to Linux Mint for about a week, to see if I was able to daily drive linux. After that week, I realised that most of the applications I need day to day only work on Windows, so began to switch back. I tried running the installer, but my main NVME drive refuses to display.

I have tried reformatting the drive in linux, and have began to try and load drivers during the install, but Intel RST refuses to load on my main PC, even when using the command to extract thge drivers through the CMD.

I am now at a loss for what to try next, so any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi ,

I'm sorry, here's the link to the driver extracted from your laptop. Try this one.

    Hi ,

I think I understand now that it is controlled and Intel Rapid Storage , not AHCI.

You will do the following: download the driver from the link below, run it on the other computer, extract the Intel RST driver, and access the folder and copy it to the USB Flash driver.

Access the BIOS and disable Secure Boot, leave the USB Flash driver as the first one, save it, and boot into the Windows installation.

When you get to the installation screen, select the option Load Drivers > Browser, select the folder where you copied the Intel RST drivers, and click OK.

Check if it gives you two options.

Select the first installation and check if your laptop's SSD drive will appear.

    Hi ,

I apologize for the delay. Do the following: You created a Windows installation unit. I believe you will keep Secure Boot and CSM disabled and boot from the USB Flash driver.

On the Windows 11 installation screen, press the shift+f10 key and follow:

UEFI boot pattern after booting to install Windows on the home screen > Press Shift+F10 > diskpart

    list disk

select disk X (replace the X with the SSD drive letter)

Check if disk 0 or 1 appears with the space on your SSD.

    clean

    create partition primary

    format fs=ntfs quick

    active

After this process, you will restart and try to install Windows.

    Hi ,

I am Ivan, I will help you with this.

If possible, please provide the model of your laptop?

Access the BIOS and check that Secure Boot is disabled along with CSM and that the boot mode is UEFI.

Check that the storage configuration format in the BIOS is set to AHCI instead of RST or RAID.
