    Hello, John A Buffinton

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A

Thank you for your feedback. I understand that you are experiencing an issue where your UE BOOM 2 speaker is working properly but cannot be found by new devices (such as computers or other devices) via Bluetooth. Here are some troubleshooting solutions:

    1. To avoid interference, please temporarily disable the Bluetooth function on your phone that can connect normally. Alternatively, in your phone's Bluetooth settings, locate “UE BOOM 2” and select ‘Disconnect’ or “Ignore this device.”

Turn on your UE BOOM 2 speaker.

Locate the small Bluetooth button on the top of the speaker (next to the power button).

Hold down the Bluetooth button for approximately 3-5 seconds until you hear a beep (typically a rhythmic “beep-beep-beep” sound), and the LED indicator next to the Bluetooth button begins to flash rapidly.

(Illustration: The Bluetooth button usually has a Bluetooth symbol Bluetooth symbol)

When you hear the sound and see the light flashing rapidly, the speaker is now in “pairing mode.” It is broadcasting a signal and waiting for a new device to connect.

    2. Now, on the new device you want to connect (such as your computer, tablet, etc.), open the Bluetooth settings.

    Start searching for Bluetooth devices.

You should see “UE BOOM 2” in the device list.

Click it to pair and connect.

If the issue persists, try the following methods:

Restart all devices: Turn off your UE BOOM 2 speaker and then turn it back on, while also restarting the device you want to connect (computer/tablet). Then repeat the “pairing mode” steps above.

Reset the UE BOOM 2: This will clear all pairing records from the speaker and restore it to its factory settings.

Hold down the “Volume Down (-)” button and the “Power” button simultaneously.

Hold for approximately 10-15 seconds until you hear a confirmation sound.

After resetting, the speaker will automatically enter pairing mode, and you can attempt to connect directly with a new device. Please note that you will also need to re-pair your phone after the reset.

Check the computer drivers (if connected to a computer): If connected to a Windows computer, outdated Bluetooth drivers may also cause issues. You can try updating your computer's Bluetooth drivers.

You can also try using an external Bluetooth adapter to see if it works.

If none of the above methods work, you can also contact the manufacturer's technical support for further assistance.

I look forward to your feedback.

    Best Regards,
