Microsoft Garage Mouse without Borders

Hello,

I wanted to use Mouse without Borders from the Microsoft Garage, i.e. without the PowerToys.

Setup:

Computer 1 with User 1

Computer 2 with User 2

I entered the security key for both computers.

Everything works.

However, if I now log on to computer 2 with another user User 3, there is a completely new key.

I have to manually enter the security key of Computer 1 User 1 again.

So if I have 5 users per computer, I have to log in with each user on each computer and enter the same key everywhere so that I can always switch between the computers.

Could you perhaps tell me where the key is stored?

Is it in the registry?

I couldn't find an entry there.

settings.json is also not available for this version.

Switching to PowerToys is not compatible.

I would be very happy to receive help with this problem.

Kind regards

hi Max,

Have you tried " use Service" and see if that helps. I have PowerToys and have this setting so can't say about Microsoft Garage Mouse without Borders.

There are other 3 party apps that are similar to Mouse without boarders

EDIT: I have tried your case and there is no easy way around it, I even tried remote desktop which you only connect one at a time, Window Server might be a better option, it all depends how you want to control a group of computers.
