Upgrading from Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro will not cause you to lose your data, files, or installed applications—as long as you perform an in-place upgrade using the official activation method or product key through the system settings. Your personal folders, apps, and settings will remain intact (it's still recommended to back up your important data beforehand just in case something unexpected occurs during the upgrade process - but that would be very unlikely).

To upgrade from Windows 11 Home to Pro, go to Settings > System > Activation, then click Upgrade your edition of Windows and select Change product key. Enter a valid Windows 11 Pro product key (e.g., purchased from Microsoft or a trusted retailer), then follow the prompts to begin the upgrade. The system will verify the key, install the necessary components, and restart your PC—completing the upgrade without affecting your files, apps, or settings.
