Shift Handover in Microsoft Teams

Hi There,

I would like to proceed to do Online Shift Handover in Microsoft Teams.

We are running 24 x7 Network Operations and currently using Excel sheet to perform handover.

Can you please advise whether it is feasible to perform Shift Handover to other members in the team via Microsoft Teams? If yes, please state the steps or point me to the right link/documentations.

If not, can you please suggest another method using Micosoft (apps) where ONLINE Shift Handover can be performed?

    Hello MaIPM,

    You can use Shifts app in Microsoft Teams to deal with shift handover. In Teams, click “…” and choose Shifts.

     

    What you need to do is adding members to the team, and arrange shifts for them. After that, click Share with team button so that every team members will be able to see the shifts arrangement in Shifts app. Here is a screenshot for your reference:

    Your solution is really useful.

    Although I need to spend some time to study Teams -> Shift, I just need to know whether we can do Shift Handover in the "Shifts" app. Also, your response has given me another idea to have an Online Roster for my team. Thanks for that! :)

    Are you or anyone be able to advise on the Shift Handover aspect on "Shift" app? How do we do that and so on? I read your "Get started in Shifts", but unfortunately there is no information on how exactly Shift Handover is done in "Shifts" app.

    Sorry for the late reply because I was off duty before. It’s glad to hear that my reply is helpful. Regarding to the shift handover, may I know if you have some special requirement to do it? The Shifts app puts together a schedule for your team. Every team member is able to view the table in Teams. I think it can meet your requirement.
