Can I use Teams to feed content to RSS subscribers?

Hello,

Teams was recently rolled out at work and since i'm new to Teams, my question might be basic

I have a need to provide information to folks outside of my organization and was wondering if I can setup a Team/Channel as an RSS feed that my customers can subscribe to.

Is it even possible?

Is this something my IT folks need to enable?

Thanks in advance

Rick

You can feed RSS into Teams but AFAIK, you cannot access teams messages using RSS, at least not built in. I haven't looked at flow to see if it can push team messages to RSS. (There is a flow for RSS > Teams).

    Hi Shlikes,

To set up an RSS feed in Microsoft Teams, just right click the channel and select Connectors > RSS.

Since you're ready to set up RSS content for external users, it's necessary to enable external access and guest access in Microsoft Teams & Skype for Business Admin Center in advance. You can refer to the following link to achieve this.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/set-up-guests

Let me know if you have further questions on this issue.

    Regards,

    Marvin

Yeah, Teams can subscribe to RSS feeds but you can't provide an RSS link to Teams conversations.

I looked for a suggestion for this at the uservoice for teams and did not see this suggestion - it might be worth suggesting.

    Thanks for the replies

Unless I'm missing something, it seems like my use case is not possible in Teams, I'll look into enabling RSS subscription services in SharePoint from which my external customers can subscribe too.

    Thanks a bunch

    Rick
