Hello,

Ive been using Teams for over a month.  All of the sudden when I open a word document from a student it opens in accessibility mode.  Is there a way to turn this off!

Thank you

David

Hi David,

Thanks for sharing your experience on this forum.

According to your description, may I confirm that if you can see a read-only icon next to the file like that:

If so, that means you have no permission to edit this document, you can contact the document owner to assign permission via click ... next to the file and choose open in SharePoint>click this file in SharePoint>Manage access> assign permission if you have not.

If there is a read-only icon but you can't still edit this document,  may I confirm that if all files or the specific file have the same issue?

Besides, if all users or specific users will go to accessibility mode when open this document?

The information is very helpful to us to narrow down this issue, appreciate your efforts!

Best Regards

Higgins
