Hi, I just re-installed the Microsoft Teams on MacOS Catalina, but it seems to "loading microsoft teams..." forever and the app never opens up. What do I need to do, do I need to clean some caches, if so, can anyone help on the steps.

The Teams app on the macOS won't loading.

Did this ever get solved?  I'm still having the exact same problem on iMac using macOS Catalina V. 10.15.5.

MS Teams is just cycling endlessly "Loading Microsoft Teams..."

    Several restarts.

The web app seems to work fine.

    But downloaded version won't engage.

    Tom

    Hello

I have an update for my Ms Teams on my Mac

I want to share here because I hope it can helps people, because it really troublesome to wait the loading process and do nothing I am using the most recent mac version, and the most updated Ms Teams app. I have tried all of above suggestions, but nothing works. (Including deleting that unknown files, reinstall, etc.) The trouble only occurs at my mac, my account works fine on iPhone

    >>> THE SOLUTION IS: I ask to my friend to invite me to any meeting (inside my network). Then I click the link, make it launch to the app, then, I join it (of course I am in with the status of “Guest”, because i haven’t successfully logged in with my account). After the meeting ends, it shows some buttons, one of it is: “LOG IN” i push that button and then after that, everything works just fine. i can enter my email, password and logged in as well

So i think the long loading process is because mac still detect our error login activity, mac didn’t really clear the cache so it makes the app can’t do nothing further than the loading page

Hope this helps. Good day for everyone

    Hi everyone,

I don´t know if this is going to help you guys but it worked for me.

After some time struggling with the instructions found in several threads, usually all of them telling me to delete stuff from some folders, my brother told me that for he to be able to use Slack, he had to be logged in a browser first before being able to work with the application.

We gave that ¨solution¨ a try and we got logged in https://teams.microsoft.com/, using Chrome. After the login, we closed the ¨teams¨ app and opened it again. This time it worked properly.

    Hope it helps.

Hi Rudy, right I have downloaded from the official site. The teams.osx.pkg.download for macOS was downloaded today, must be the latest ver.

Yes, I did the step " open the Application Folder, select Microsoft Teams, then move it to the Trash, this way will not leave any cache. The you can reinstall the Teams application"

But it shows a small window keep loading and the main teams app still blank.

Good bit of investigation work there. I did the same thing and it worked. I even managed it using Safari which is a miracle.

    Thanks again
