Rubric and Assignments in Teams

I'm making a rubric for an assignment in Teams.  It seems that each category I chose is okay - but for the sections on my assignment I cannot change the grading.  Eg, 4 marks, 3 marks, 2mark, 1 mark for my Discussion section (Lab Report Assignment); but the Title I only want that section out of 1.5 marks (1.5, 1, 0.5, 0).

So I thought I will keep everything out of 4 marks and then just weight the other sections less.

How do I do that?

Regards,

Denise

    Hi Denise,

I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

Regarding grade criteria weighing, you need to make sure that you distribute weight total of percentage 100.

Tip: Enter a percentage of 100 if you’d like to weight some criteria more heavily than others. Make sure everything totals up to 100. If you need to, select Evenly distribute weights option to re-set all your percentages.

Also, you should be able to change the grading, please try removing existing rubric(click on "X" next to the assigned rubric and update assignment), click on "Add rubric" look for your previously created rubric and edit grading and weight as applicable.

I have tried to update grade and weight as per your requirement in my test and It worked just fine. please refer screenshot.

Please let me know if you have any question and I will be happy to assist.

    Regards

    Nik

    Hi Nik

Thank-you very much.  I have done as you suggested and re-weighted the items in the rubric.  It wouldn't let me enter in a decimal place though.

When the rubric scores the assignment can I alter the grade before returning it?  eg, I might have a "bonus" section so after it gets scored by the rubric I'd like to add a mark or 2 - is that possible?

Is it also possible to download and save this rubric to use again when I assign the assignment again to my Quarter 2 students?

    Thanks again,

    Regards,

    Denise
