Does everyone need to have an outlook account to use a microsoft team?

Hello, I am trying to create a microsoft team to teach an online seminar. Do all the participants need to have an outlook account to participate? Thanks!

    No, they can be invited to your Teams meetings as the guest via using their valid email address.  

    Add guests to a team in Teams

    Please be noted: To invite guest, you must be the team owner who creates this team or has the owner permission for this team.
