Teams Assignment "0/.. turned in" glitch

Hi!

I have noticed that just today in my Teams app there is a new problem where it appears as if none of my students have submitted the assignment.

But then, when I open the assignment, 11 of my students have turned in work. I checked on each student's post and there is actually work attached too so that is not the problem.

This has not been a problem until today. I don't know if there was an update or a reason why this would be happening all of a sudden?

Hi Jacqueline_2020,

We understand your situation, I know it’s bit difficult to work this way. We really apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused.

I tested on my end, initially when students turned in their work, I also experienced the same thing as you and then after a while, it started showing the correct number of students who turned in their assignments.

With COVID-19 continuing to impact people around the world, there’s an increase in demand which might cause delay on the server side. As the number was updated on my end after some time, I suppose it should show the correct number on your side as well, please check again to confirm.

If the issue persists, please check if you see the same behavior in other assignments. This is to confirm if the issue is with the specific assignment or happens to all.

Best Regards,

Neha

    Hi Jacqueline_2020,

Did you check above reply? Do you see the actual number of students now? Please update if you still need any help.

    Regards,

    Hi Jacqueline_2020,

Please allow me some time, I’ll test this and will post back with my findings.

Meanwhile, please check if there are any updates available for Microsoft Teams. You can manually download updates by clicking Check for updates on the Profile drop-down menu on the top right of the app. If an update is available, it will be downloaded and silently installed when the computer is idle.

    Thanks,

    Neha
