    Hello M439ca,

In my lab with Teams, we can only perform audio devices test via “Make a test call”, you may try that to check your audio devices (click your account tile on the top right of the corner, select Settings -> Devices ):

To test camera, there isn't directly way to perform a test, but you can start a video call and video meeting in Teams, and confirm with recipients whether they can see your video.

If you need any assistance, welcome back and let me know.

    Kind Regards,

    Anna

Is there going to be an update for the Teams software program where we can test the video on our devices by ourselves ahead of time before a meeting? This is something that should be in the program for setting up important meetings ahead of time instead of having to call someone and test it. I am very surprised this is not already integrated into a business conferencing program from Microsoft. Are there improvements coming to the program? Thanks.

This is a little convoluted, but it worked for me: Create a Teams meeting inviting only yourself. Attend the meeting. Voila! You'll be able to test the camera.

You can even save the invite from your Sent folder and reuse the link in the future.

This is how I have used skype for 10+ years.  Microsoft having bought, in preperation to pervent Skype from competing  with other programs is another example of Monopoly practices.  And to add injury to insult can 't even get this RIGHT.

Just trying to get my Microsoft Teams to work, but even the " forum" can't honestly pursue these problems.

Ironically, I can test and use camera, microphone and speaker if I run Skype.  I fear everytime I run Skype the MonopolySoft will remove my skype, but can't make Teams work without me spending hours trying to figure out whare MonopolySoft's errors are.

This is really poorly designed video conferencing software. You can't test your camera? I suppose there was some engineer out there making $250,000 a year that decided we didn't need to check our cameras first. Or be able to set up a dummy call to ourselves. You know what they say, C's get degrees.
