Configure email address for Teams Channel?

I just tried to send my first email into a Teams Channel and noticed that the email address is not in a very user friendly format. For example, ******@amer.teams.ms. Is there any ability to edit and/or define the email address assigned to a Channel? Something like ******@mydomain.com would seem to make a lot more sense.

According to your description, I did a lot of test and research about the email address of Teams Channel, however, as far as I know it is not feasible to edit the email address of Teams Channel.  We do understand that if you could customize the email address of Channels in Teams, it will be easier for us to remember it, and it will be more convenient for our daily life and work.   In this case, here is a workaround for you, if you are using Outlook in Office 365, you can try to create some "special contacts" in your Outlook, and then copy and paste the channel email addresses into the contacts which saved in your Outlook, when you need to send emails to the channel, you can try to find the special contacts in your Outlook instead of trying to find the long email addresses of the channels, thanks.

On another hand, if the suggestion above cannot meet your requirements, it is recommended that please give a feedback to Teams UserVoice and post your good ideas there. Microsoft will keep monitoring customers feedback there, some features would be added to the products based on customers feedback and requirements in the future, and your good ideas will be very helpful for the dedicated engineers in Microsoft to improve the product, thanks.

    Thank you for the reply Oliver. This would definitely be a nice enhancement. At a minimum, it would be nice if the Channel email address at least used our domain name instead of amer.teams.ms.
