Turning on away greeting in voicemail

We have two voicemail options in Teams, the standard greeting and the away greeting. How do I turn on the away greeting? It always revert to the personal greeting even though I am away and have turned on my out of office message in Outlook. I am having to keep changing my standard greeting when the away greeting should be serving this purpose.

I look forward to hearing from any users or Microsoft on this matter.

    Hello AimyLH,

    Thanks for your post in Microsoft Community.

    According to your post, we understand that you have created your custom Out of office greeting and want to turn on the away greeting, please correct if we misunderstood your concern.

    • For this, would like to suggest you to open the Teams app settings -> calls-> click on configure voicemail tab and select the highlighted changes and check the result.

    Hello AimyLH,

    Thanks for response, according to the below screenshot, may I know are you able to click on change voicemail greeting options, all the other settings are listed there? If not, may I know once you click on change voicemail settings, what happed ? Could you please kindly share us the screenshot and the detail information about your O365 subscription?

    Further may I know how your create the voicemail?

    Hi Ankita

    When I click on the change voicemail greeting I go the voicemail menu via calls i.e. no further buttons to press on the screen. The automated audio message gives me the following options:

    • To play and record personal greeting, press 1
    • To play and record greeting when away, press 2
    • To exit, press *

    My voicemail is created via the change voicemail greeting button above. 

    I'm not too sure what is our O365 subscription. When I checked in Word under account it states Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus. When I checked in Office 365 online it states Office 365 E5. If this is not what you are after, please let me know I will check with our IT staff.
