Depending on the customer, I use Zoom or Teams. In Zoom, after I open the app but before I join the meeting, I can check that my mic and speaker are working, adjust volumes, etc. Is there such a feature in Teams?

q1) Please advise how to a) configure and b) test MSFT teams before a call  when getting an invite from an enterprise account to a user with a NON- enterprise account.

Several times i receive a teams link which does NOT ALLOW me to test and configure my speakers & mic before the meeting.

When I go to the meeting the meeting originator either cannot hear me,  cannot hear him or there is a echo in the during he call.

The option to test exists however, when selected the system goes in "grey mode" as if there is not enough bandwidth w/ the servers and stays grey w/ no call to action. Then I go the meeting and try to troubleshoot with no success. I use minimal resource on my pc during the call.

Note: teams may work well for the enterprise accounts but NOT for the recipient who does not have an enterprise account (my end).  Teams really blows!  it is a frustrating experience.  Now it is clear why zoom is a superior!     MS Teams is truly a disappointment - I also say this a former MSFT employee!

    Your solution would be appreciated.

Yes, I can configure it. But I can test to see that the audio/video work. In Zoom, I can test. The other day I was using a headset and it was configured. But I couldn't find a "test mic and speaker" after configuring switch. That''s what I'm looking for.

to test it you will need to go to the settings in Teams before the meeting start and make a test call, see:
