    Welcome GCamaro68,

I'm an independent advisor and I'm here to help you. To uninstall Teams, quit Teams by right-clicking the Teams app in the dock, then holding down Option and clicking Force Quit. Open the Application Folder, select Microsoft Teams, and move it to the Trash.

    Then:

    1. Click Go > Go To Folder
    2. Then navigate to following folder and delete them (if any)

    ~/Library/Caches/com.microsoft.teams

    ~/Library/Caches/com.microsoft.teams.shipit

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/Application Cache/Cache

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/blob_storage

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/Cache

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/databases

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/GPUCache

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/IndexedDB

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/Local Storage

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/tmp

    Regards.

I have the latest stable release of Teams installed on my MacBook Pro (Catalina) and I never use the Drag-to-trash method to uninstall an app. Because this quick fix has a significant drawback - all the application’s service files will be left behind on my Mac. These files will continue to consume storage space while the app was removed.

But every time when I try to uninstall MicroSoft Teams or other bloated application, I have to remove its executable file and all the service files stored in ~/Library and /Library folders and I firmly believe I must have something left behind.

Here is list of the folders that I thought are enough for clean uninstall, which is definitely far from enough.

    ~Library > Application Support

    ~Library > Caches

    ~Library > Logs

    ~Library > Preferences

    ~Library > Containers

    ~Library > Cookies

Many thanks for your complete list.

    Clem ~

I have been having similar issues related to screenshare. I was able to resolve it by cleaning up the privacy permission stored in the Mac OS X system settings.

The first thing I did was close Teams and delete Teams from the applications folder. Next open Terminal in Applications >> Utilities. Run the following command to remove the permissions:

    tccutil reset CATEGORY

Replace CATEGORY with the type of permission you are having trouble with. Mine was ScreenCapture.

    Accessibility

    AddressBook

    AppleEvents

    Calendar

    Camera

    Microphone

    Photos

    Reminders

ScreenCapture (for the Screen Recording list)

SystemPolicyAllFiles (for the Full Disk Access list)

    SystemPolicyDesktopFolder

    SystemPolicyDeveloperFiles

    SystemPolicyDocumentsFolder

    SystemPolicyDownloadsFolder

    SystemPolicyNetworkVolumes

    SystemPolicyRemovableVolumes

    SystemPolicySysAdminFiles

Reinstall Teams and you should be good to go now.

Select the Apple Menu > System Preferences > Security and Privacy > click on Privacy. Here you can authorize Teams to use the camera and microphone. Check if it works.
