How do I get a cape legitimately?

Hello there Microsoft. I would like to obtain a Minecraft cape, please. I have been a fan of them ever since 2011 when the game first "introduced them" into the game by adding them to players' accounts via Minecon attendance. I don't have enough money to purchase a Minecon ticket and attend the convention to obtain a cape myself though. I'm not a modded or anyone especially noteworthy, so I doubt that I will get a Minecraft cape, but that has not stopped me from wondering if I can possibly, one day, have a cape attached to my account. I know that there are ways of obtaining capes legitimately, such as: through donating to Optifine, catching the attention of the Minecraft developers, suggesting updates and features for Minecraft, and many other ways. I have also heard that there used to be a surplus of capes that the Minecraft developers had. I guess my real question in all this is "How do I get a cape legitimately?" If you can, please respond to this query, there is no rush, so take your time with seeing this and taking any action on it.

    Hi Joseph,

This is Wil, one of the independent advisor, an expert with Windows 10 and a fellow Windows 10 user like you. I understand your concern about Minecon Capes.

To be honest, I would love to have one of those capes as well. However, the only way that we can get it is by an email that will be sent to us if we purchased a Minecon Ticket. Aside from that, there's no other way to get Minecon capes as Mojang themselves doesn't sell them.

I'll try to look into it as well as I haven't played for the last 1 year or so but because of this lockdown, I'll see if I would still be able to login to the game. Anyway, If you need further assistance, feel free to reply to me or post a new thread for another issue. Bye for now Joseph and stay safe.

Thanks, Will! I included all of the ways in which you can get a cape, Because I just recently watched a video from YouTuber FitMC, Which detailed the history of various capes, and how people were able to obtain them. I was also simply curious about capes, but I recognize now that there's a way in the actual game itself to get a cape anyway, albeit a cape that is also a set of grey wings, the elytra. I guess I'll settle for that, and I can always go into the game's texture files and read texture the wall I try to be whatever I want it to be.

Thank you for the comment and information that you provided,
