Microsoft Teams and Apple Airpod compatability

Hi - I use Microsoft Teams regularly (many times a day) to conduct business meetings.  I very recently bought a pair of Apple Airpods (Pro) as my old plug-in headphones stopped working after several years of service.  I run Teams on my Macbook Pro laptop.

Unfortunately, I can't get the Airpods working with Teams.  People in the meeting can hear me perfectly, but I can't hear them.  I'd appreciate it if somebody could offer some advice on how to get this configured.

Thanks.

Currently, Apple AirPods and AirPods Pro are not in the official supported USB audio and video devices list. They are not fully supported SFB and Teams. The cause for this incompatibility may come from the manufacture, we suggest you use devices in the list for fully support.

Yet Airpods work fine, better to try and provide support?

Add me to the list of frustrated MS Teams users with this.  Sure would be convenient if my Airpods worked with Teams.  They do the same thing with Skype for Business too.

    Please fix this ASAP!

Perhaps this will help some folks.  I have no idea why this works for me, but it has:

In Teams Settings, Under Devices, if I set:

     - Speaker to "Headphones (____ Airpods Pro Stereo)

    and

    • Microphone to "Microphone Array (Realtek Audio)"

    then it works.

I think this means the microphone on my computer is being used, but my airpods work for the speakers.

Note that when I do any other combination, including selecting "Airpods Pro Hands Free," it doesn't work.

At this time there is no workaround. Our engineers are working with Apple developers to find fixes for these issues. I understand this inconvenince totally, please wait for the updates in the future.

    Sincerely,

    Shawn
