Teams create a chat/call group

Hello,

We are collaborating with several other organizations and we are able to schedule meeting through Outlook.

With one in particular, we have very close collaboration and, as we both have Teams, we can also chat with each other through the chat. Somehow we even were able to have a group chat where most of there organization and I (from mine) were able to chat and start impromptu video calls without the need to schedule a meeting with out look.

Somehow that is not possible since this morning and we cannot figure out how we set it in the first place.

Any ideas?

Did you made any changes to your settings?

Did you used Skype for Business?

What happens when you setup a meeting? Is there any error code?

You could setup meeting using Calendar icon inside Microsoft Teams.

Thanks for your reply, nsgma365. That error message usually appears when the contact we're trying to add is not in any of our teams yet. However, you mentioned that you could add them to speed dial. How about creating a team first then you can start your chat or calls from there?
You may also use the web version http://teams.microsoft.com and see if the issue occurs.
You may also check for any Teams app update on your device.

    I hope my suggestions works.

    Thank you DidiMD,

The problem is that when I call directly the people of the other organization, I do not have the add a participant button.

    When I go to Calls,

I can find the user email ******@xxxx.onmicrosoft.com

I can add them to SpeedDial and I can add them to Favourites

But when I great a group and click Add contacts to this group I cannot find these addresses, nor use the @to refer to them. It returns "We couldn't find any matches".

    Any ideas?N

I clicked a link to Team from a third party organization that provoked a strange reaction, it opened Teams but all the Teams in my organization disappeared.

Apart of that I have cha Nnged my organization company name yesterday, but today I still was able to send a message to that group

Setting a meeting through outlook calendar works. but the direct link to some people is more practical. I do not know how that works because of all the people I have meetings with only with some I can make direct links.

    Any ideas?
