No way to export MS List to Excel

Dear all,

I've spent hours trying to export an Office List to Excel, reading dozen of articles and comments but no way to get it done.

It appears the Export to Excel option is just not displayed. I can only see Export to .csv or to Power Bi. I've created that list as a personal list, on which I've full access. Don't know what to do more. It's just amazing you need to spend days with Microsoft apps to get basic features working. That's always the same story.

By the way, export to csv gives me an ugly result since I've comas in some comments... Next time I would copy manually all values in my Excel file to avoid spending so much time.

    Dear IRCBHU,

Good day! hope you are doing well and thank you the time and effort you put into this issue.

Unfortunately, I have tested this in our Mac test environments and can confirm that I am able to reproduce the same issue. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

As this may be a bug, I kindly recommend that you report this to Microsoft via our feedback portal. SharePoint · Community or use the Microsoft list in-app feature by going to Help icon > Report a problem.

The product development team monitors this site around the clock, and your feedback will be considered. This is the best way to let the team know your needs and help improve our products and services. Our product team may apply the fix in an upcoming release of Microsoft List. Also, I have reported the issue from my end.

Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Sincerely,

Ralph Chawatama | Microsoft Community Moderator

    Dear Ralph,

Thank you for your prompt answer.

Could you please let me know how created your Microsoft List?

Answer: I just used the button 'New list' from the List web app main page (same url you put in question 2)

Could you please let me know if you tried accessing your Microsoft List from the Microsoft List web app Microsoft List?

Answer: Yes I did try from the url you provided.

Could you please provide a screenshot related to the issue/error?

Sure. Here you go. As you can see, no export to Excel is possible.

Edit : I've checked with a colleague of mine, working on Windows and can access the export to Excel button. Is there a limitation on Mac OS ?? By the way I've tried on Safari, Firefox and Chrome, same story...

We are sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with exporting Microsoft List to Excel. I deeply understand the inconvenience caused and apologize for it.

You may be experiencing temporary server issues. The option should be available by default, as demonstrated in my recent test below.
