PPT Design Ideas--making changes?

Love the new PPT Design ideas but I was wondering if it is possible to make changes, ie. color of shapes?  If so, how can I do it without basically reconstructing the entire slide.

Thanks!

To select and then re-color a shape that has been inserted by PowerPoint Designer, you first need to turn on the Selection Pane, which shows  a list of all the items on the current slide. To do so:

    1. Select your slide.
    2. In the “Tell me what you want to do” box above the ribbon, type “Selection Pane”.
    3. A menu of choices appears below the box; choose the first option, “Display the Selection Pane”.
    4. In the Selection Pane on the right side of the window, all the items on the slide are listed. The object that you want to re-color is likely named “FreeForm #”.
    5. Select the name of that free-form shape in the list. Then you can use the Drawing Tools Format tab on the ribbon to change the color of that shape.

Currently, the shapes inserted by PowerPoint Designer are locked. The only thing you can change is the color, as described above.

So the best advice I can give is to select the shape (by using the Selectionpane), delete it, and then draw your own shape (by using the Inserttab of the Ribbon, and the Shapes button) to replace it.

This is great, thank you, but doesn't allow you change the size/shape - any advice about this?

This is a great question and it's very frustrating that no one knows the answer! It should be simple.
