Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls for optimal communication
I had the same issue with Soundcore Life Q10 on Teams and managed to get it working. Maybe this will help.
First of all, the issue is very dependent on the type of Bluetooth adapter you have installed on your computer, like the actual hardware. In my personal Asus laptop, the headset works just fine on Teams but in my work laptop (HP Elitebook), it doesn't. You may need to purchase a USB Bluetooth dongle to make it work. Luckily said dongles are dirt cheap.
Anyhow, below are my settings:
- Devices and Printers -> Soundcore Q10 -> Properties -> Services -> Make sure all of them are selected, especially the "Handsfree Telephony". Otherwise, the mics on the headset will be disabled.
- Open Sound Control Panel -> You should see 2 Soundcore devices. The one you will use in Teams is called Handsfree- AS Audio. Right click -> Properties
- Advanced -> Unclick all under Exclusive Mode, don't allow applications to take exclusive control. Also untick Signal Enhancements
- I did the same for the normal Soundcore Q10 as well. Not sure this is necessary though.
- Right click the Sound icon in the Taskbar and make sure "no Spatial Sound" is enabled, like Windows Sonic.
- Go to Teams -> Settings -> Devices -> Select Soundcore Q10 Hands-free AG Audio for Speaker and Microphone.
- Make a test call. It you should hear the test call and record your message.
Hope this helps. Once you make it work, you can play around with the settings above. Maybe some of what I said could be re-enabled.
