Teams copying Planner from one channel to another within a team

  1. When I create a plan in a new channel .  It asked me if I want to copy the plan from another.  This is great.  Its what I want to do. Use the plan from another channel as a template so I don't need to make the tasks over again but can just assign new dates.  But if I copy then they are always a perfect copy of each other.   If I change a to do date on one it changes it on the other.  If I add a task on one plan it adds it on the other.  If I go to my task list it only shows one of the lists tasks not both.  If I rename it, it just keeps updating as if it were the same list.   I wanted the list to be like a template not linked.  I can’t find any settings to alter.  Can you help?

    Dear LStan, 

    the workout from rdazarola does work! 

    I also thought that it didn't work. But when you litarally follow the instructions, you will get a copied plan with tasks and buckets.

    It will first show in the group/team, so you can have multiple plans in one groep/team, and then you can select any copied plan for the channel you want.

    Dear all,

    I made a template and used it as mentioned but whenever I assign tasks in one channel, it changes the particular template too. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.
