Last night, I had an assignment ( Medterm Exam) with no late turn-in option and I successfully uploaded all the answers before the time ends but unfortunately I had an Internet connection issue and I wasn't able to hand it in.

Can you help me ?

Hi

My name is Daniel. I am an Independent Advisor.

When you upload the assignment files without clicking the turn-in button, actually your teacher will still be able to see your submitted assignment file on her end when she opens an assignment from you. The only limitation is, MS Team doesn't update your status as turned in, it just shows status as viewed.

Could you please go to your assignment again and see if you can still see the turn in button?

Having said that, you can actually directly go to SharePoint to check your working or submitted assignment file.  Please follow these steps below:

Step 1: Please go to the files tab on the channel > select Open in SharePoint.

Step 2: Select Site content on the left menu then select student work.

Step 3: You can either select the working files folder or the submitted file folder. You should be able to locate the assignment file you are looking for.

    Hi Omar,

    Yes, you are right.

Teacher can still see your assignment in Teams-> Assignment after you uploaded them but didn’t hand in. At this time, the status of this assignment is “Viewed” instead of “Turned in”.

(Note: Teacher can also view the uploaded but not hand in assignment of students in SharePoint site. )

    Best Regards,

    Ivy

    Hi Omar,

Sorry for the inconvenience happened at your end.

First, I would like to convey that the documents or files uploaded to the assignment will be stored in the SharePoint team site which is connected with the Class Team. So, when you upload the files without turning in, the files will be stored in the folder name called Working files. In this case, to prove to your teacher that you have done your work, you can tell the teacher to access the Working files folder and check the work done by you.

Open the SharePoint Site connected with Class Team> Site Contents> Student Work> Working files.

About the problem i.e. “unable to hand-in the assignment”, we kindly suggest you change the network connection like Mobile Hotspot and check the behavior. If you are using Teams application, you can also try to sign in portal.office.com with your school account and try to hand-in the assignment in Teams for Web. (Sometimes the issue may relate to the application.)

Appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Happy New Year!! 😊

    Best Regards,

    Ivy

    Hi, Ivy

Thanks for the time and effort in the explanation.

I have just seen a video explaining how the teacher can view the assignment and I realised that he could see my uploaded work if he clicked on my status which is "not turned in" in this case. According to the video, it will lead him to this window and he can see my uploaded work in the right corner as in the screenshot below

    Am I right ?
