Can students create a team and if so how?

Hi, 

my name is Katherine and I would like to know I students can create teams, because I want to make one for all my friends to be able to talk in, but don't know to make one or if students can even create teams on Microsoft teams. I am on a laptop and don't know how to. I also don't have a phone number so I cant create a personal account.

if someone could help me that would be great, even if someone needs to show me a way to make a personal account without needing a phone number.

Hi

My name is Daniel. I am an Independent Advisor.

It's possible for students to create a Team, then just need to go to the Team tab > Hover mouse over the "create a team" placeholder then click the "Create team" button.

Having said that, if the option to create a team is not there, then it's possible for the admin to disable Team creation from the backend as explained in the following article: https://teams-manager.com/microsoft-teams-how-t...

    Are you using your work / school account, or want to create one and then add your friends? If you're in a school account, the owners of the organization may delete the team you created. This happened to my brother once. That's when I realized what actually happened.
