TEAMS opens maximized on my MAC- all... the... time...

Running a 2019 Macbook Pro on Mojave and TEAMS is at 1.4.00.11161. It was last updated on 5/12/21.

Whether I'm running just my laptop, or I'm in the office with a 3840x1080, TEAMS launches maximized (not the Mac "FULLSCREEN" mode).  This has been happening since last Fall, and I'm finally fed up.

Yes, I can toggle Maximized on and off, but while that does take action right then, it does not affect how TEAMS launches the next time.

I've disabled TEAMS autolaunch in the app settings and launch it manually so my morning cadence of "normalizing" the TEAMS screen is not dictated by TEAMS autolaunching, but is instead part of my expectation of what happens now when I manually launch TEAMS.

Wouldn't it be in Microsoft's best interests to always have TEAMS autostart on launch?   I just stopped that because of this perpetual annoyance.  Yes, sometimes I forget to launch TEAMS: the removal of this one annoyance sometimes just helps the morning go smoother... until I get THAT call: "hey, can you join us on TEAMS?".  #SMH

    Hi JoeParyzek,

Thanks for your post on the community forum. I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

To narrow down the issue, please try creating a new mac OS user account:

    1. Create a new Mac OS user account as described here:
      https://www.imore.com/how-create-new-user-accou...
    2. Install the MS Team app to the new user account and try again
      https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/m...

Have you tried clearing the app cache? If not, please give it a try and check the outcome:

    1. Quit Microsoft Teams.
    2. Delete files in the following folders.
      “~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/Application Cache/Cache”
      “~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/blob_storage”
      “~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/Cache”
      “~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/databases”
      “~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/GPUCache”
      “~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/IndexedDB”
      “~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/Local Storage”
      “~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/tmp”
    3. Restart Microsoft Teams.
    4. if you still see the issue then reintsall the app and try again
      Download link https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/m...

Please let me know the outcome, and I'll look further into this.

    Regards
    Nik

I opted to try the app cache clearing routing, that just seemed to make sense as a first effort.

I'm puzzled by what I found.

Going to this location “Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/" only offered me two results:

    "/MAU2.0.Microsoft AutoUpdate.app"

    "/TeamsUpdaterDaemon/Pkgs/7AC91908-89A6-4536-90E..._Teams_osx.pkg".

It may be time to rebuild my MAC, #SMH.
