Microsoft Teams meeting unable to control specific application

We have an old application that can't be controlled (via request control or give control) during a Teams meeting. User starts meeting, shares screen or window with the application, and participant can view the application. Participant gets control and can move around mouse, but can't interact with the application (check boxes, edit text).

If another application is opened (Word for example), the participant can interact (select, type, etc) with that application.

My assumption is the old program has some kind of access to the operating system that is being blocked similarly as to a UAC prompt. But I can't find any documentation that says other applications might be affecting that way, or if there's any way to "whitelist" the application.

    Hello.

Yes, we have enabled screen sharing and requesting control. As I said, screen sharing is working for all other applications. Even within the same meeting, same person taking control, they can click on Word (as an example) and type in text, then switch to our custom app and can move the mouse over the new app, but cannot interact with the custom app at all (no checking boxes, typing in text, etc). Then click on Word again and click boxes and type in text in Word.

Hello, I'm Celso, Independent Advisor. Happy to be able to help you today!

"Please make sure the setting in the new teams admin to control the request control is enabled in the meeting policies. It’s a drop down that has 3 options. Check that.

Also make 100% sure you are using the screen share on the far left when sharing that is the only option that will allow screen sharing.!
