Hello,

We use teams calendar a lot to assign events to managers (we are a conference hotel) and we would like to color code the entries but I cannot find that option on Teams. Is that a feature that is available?

Thank you

Amalia

    Hi Rudy,

I think I gave you bad information. We have a "SharePoint" calendar as an added tap on a Teams Channel. That is the calendar I need to use the color code on. I do not see the category option in SharePoint.

    Thank you

    Amalia

    Hi Amalia,

Thanks for the clarification, since you are working on a SharePoint calendar, you can try to color-code your calendar according to the method of the following video:

Color-Coding SharePoint 2010, 2013 or SharePoint Online Calendars - YouTube

Reference: Overlay a SharePoint calendar with a calendar from Exchange or SharePoint - SharePoint (applies to SharePoint Online as well)

Hope it can be helpful, and please feel free to let me if it works for you.

    Hello Amalia,

    Hope all is well.

Yes, it is available. You can color code the items via set a category while you create it in Teams calendar.

    Please refer to:

    1. Assign a category for the entries when you create them.

    1. Then you will get the color code entries, looks like:

For the already existed entries, just assign the different categories for them, you will see the colorful entries.

Please be noted: It's make sense that the assigned categories only showed on your side and will not be synced with those managers' Teams calendar.

Hope above information helpful. And feel free to let us know if you need further help.

    Please do take care.

    Regards,

    Rudy
