This is what my teams looks like. No access to actual Teams? What gives?

This is the desktop version. The web version looks the same.

    Hi, Dean,

My name is Didi. I'm happy to help you today.

At the moment, signing up for the Teams free (classic) version seems not available anymore that's why you get directed to the Teams for personal/Teams Essentials despite choosing the For work option.

The only option to get the other apps/tabs is to subscribe to any Microsoft 365 Business plans or try them for a month. You may visit: https://www.aka.ms/office365signup

    Best regards,

Thanks for the info but it did not solve my problem. It remembers my original configuration and always sets it up the same way even though I choose "for work" in the setup.

Still doesn't work. I've even purchased Teams Essentials and it doesn't work. Thank you for your efforts SergioA2020!

I suspect it has to do with the fact that I have a Teams account already and it won't allow me edit it?

I'm sorry Dean, you should remove all cache file before setup again.

To delete all cache files, you follow this steps (in Windows):

    1. Fully exit the Microsoft Teams desktop client.
    2. Go to File Explorer, and type in appdata\Microsoft\teams and remove

    all the content.

    1. You must restart the app and try again.

    If the problem continue:

    1. uninstall the Team desktop app.
    2. Go to File Explorer, and type in appdata\Microsoft\teams and remove

    all the content.

    1. Reboot the computer and install the Team desktop app again.
    2. You try again.

    Greetings.
