Teams not showing away on Desktop when locking computer.

I am going to try and be as thorough about this as I can. When I lock my computer (Windows 10 20H2) my Teams status does not change to away immediately, it follows the standard timeout. I have teams messages blocked on my phone while active on my desktop. I cannot for the life of me figure out why it's not showing away other than I 100% know it is the mobile app that causes it. I uninstalled the mobile app and it showed away as soon as I locked the computer. Re-installed the app and it stopped working again. If anyone has any ideas it would be most appreciated as I am at a loss.

Troubleshooting: I have uninstalled and restarted, then reinstalled MS Teams for desktop.

I have ran the tool from Microsoft "SetupProd_TeamsPresense.exe" in hopes that would do something.

I have manually set a status and then cleared the status.

I have waited for an actual away status and then active, then immediately locked the computer.

I have uninstalled the Teams Mobile app and reinstalled. All settings on app are default other than DarkMode and the "Block Notifications When Active on Desktop"

Specs:

Android Version: 9

Kernel Version: 4.9.112

Mobile Teams version: 1416/1.0.0.2021152501

Hi BenjaminThomas5

My name is Daniel. I will be more than happy to assist you.

As a fellow MS Community forum user, I\ve seen this status issue is a common intermittent issue that occurs in the MS team.

Could you please reset the MS Team app and see how it goes.

Please visit the following article and refer to the section, under the "Windows: Clear Teams Cache" section. https://www.uvm.edu/it/kb/article/clearing-team...

Please let me know if the problem still persists, I will assist you with further instruction on how to move forward this issue to the engineering team for further investigations.

It's a shame the uninstaller doesn't clean up the appdata cache but I won't forget this fix either. Thank you again and I did mark it as solving my problem now!
